Cross is a playable character on the 2D platform fighter online video game Brawlhalla. A mobster, Cross struck a deal with a demon and soon possessed a terrifying power, helping him to take control of the underworld New York City. As a thrill-seeker, Cross is now seeking to fight at the Grand Tournament in Valhalla.
The 28th legend added to the game, Cross was released on November 16, 2016, being one of the legends released prior to the official release of the game.

When PFC Joseph Cross was in Italy with the Allied forces, he discovered an old double-headed coin. He made a pact with a demon in his dream that night. The demon would fight for him, who would be paid after his final battle.
A deadly new power crept into the New York underworld after the war, shaking it to its core. After taking control, Cross' group operated in all five boroughs, providing protection, numbers, and extortion. Enemies would receive a personal visit from Cross and what some who made it out termed live shadows during the night. Cross owned the town for many years.
Cross became more and more enmeshed in the occult as his obsession with riches and power deepened. He braved the blood of the wizards of New York in order to gather mystical relics and terrifying goons. However, everything started to go wrong once Cross acquired the Shrouded Gauntlets of Belzar. Strangers dressed in eerie cloaks and with antiquated weaponry suddenly materialized in the village, searching for him. It was considerably tougher to fight these masked vigilantes with his fists and pistols than it was to frighten hoodlums in New York. Still, Cross held his own with his demonic henchmen.
Because of his love of combat and dread of the alternative, Valhalla is the ultimate loophole in his contract with the demons. The imposing yet affable gangster maintains his position in the Grand Tournament. However, the devil and Cross have made a fresh wager, and other legends who share their views are now making wagers.
Gameplay[]
Cross is a powerful yet slow legend with seven points of strength, six points of defence and five points of speed as well as four points of dexterity. His weapons are blasters and gauntlets, which are named Gauntlets of Belzar and Hellhounds respectively. His attacks are generally empowered by demonic sources, as the lore states.
