Crowman is a minor antagonist in the Perfect Origin Arc of the manga series Kinnikuman.
Biography[]
Past[]
In the past, Crowman was one of the few Chojin protected from the genocide of all Chojin by The Man who would make Crowman and the other Chojins protected by him immortal and be trained in the art of wrestling. These Chojins who The Man taught would go on to be called the Perfect Origin, the original Perfect Chojin.
However, once the Perfect Origin learned that many Chojin survived the extinction and would repopulate, The Man decided that the surviving Chojin should be left alone, to grow so that the Perfect Origin may see their evolution, however, quickly the strong would dominate the weak, killing anyone they wanted. This resulted in the Perfect Origin going to Earth to genocide any Chojin who was dominating others.
After this point, Crowman agreed that all of the Perfect Origin should hide themselves away in the Chojin Graveyard and only accept truly strong Chojin to be their students.
Kinnikuman (2011)[]
After Akuma Shogun reconnected the Chojin Graveyard to the world above, the Six Devil Knights stormed in with The Ninja coming face to face with Crowman at the Silver Pavilion in Tokyo, who would summon a murder of crows to pelt the Silver Pavilion with lumps of silver, painting it silver.
The Ninja would go to attack Crowman, however, he would stop The Ninja from hitting him before raising the Silver Pavilion, revealing a ring that Silverman had used to train the original Justice Chojin. The two would fight in the ring after Crowman kicks The Ninja into the ring.
Crowman would grab The Ninja who would try to activate his Switch Sides At Will Jutsu, trying to switch places with Crowman, however, Crowman would use his immense speed to swap places with The Ninja again, stopping his technique before slamming him to the ground. Crowman would boast about his speed to The Ninja, stating that Akuma Shogun was never able to land a hit on him before he start to peck The Ninja with his beaks. The Ninja would try to dodge him, however, he couldn't with Crowman stabbed into The Ninja, however, The Ninja used a decoy to teleport away, making it so Crowman stabbed his beak into a log.
The Ninja would then grab all of the feathers that Crowman had dropped, launching them at Crowman before igniting them but Crowman would counter this with his Crow Feather Shield to block the fire. Crowman would then ask his pet Crows, Never and More if they think that The Ninja could beat him, the two would say Never and More, telling Crowman that he'll "nevermore" lose to anyone. Crowman would then launch his Crow Feather Shield at The Ninja, lighting him on fire.
To put himself out, The Ninja would put his garb on the ring and turn it into a pool of water before diving into it. Crowman would say that The Ninja was open to attack and would go to peck at The Ninja, however, The Ninja would deliver a headbutt before leaping out of the water and turning it into a volcano that The Ninja would kick Crowman into as the volcano erupted, burning Crowman and launching him into the trees nearby. Crowman would fall into the volcano again, The Ninja thinks he had killed Crowman, however, Crowman used the branches from the tree he just hit to make a nest to save himself.
After flying out of the volcano, Crowman would grab The Ninja and slam his head into the wall before stabbing into The Ninja's chest with his beak. This would have killed The Ninja, however, his chainmail protected him. The Ninja would punch Crowman away and would pick up his garb, removing the volcano and putting it back on. The Ninja was badly damaged from all of his attacks, coughing up blood.
Crowman would dive down to The Ninja, going to stab him with his talons but The Ninja would throw a smoke bomb to fill the area with smoke that The Ninja could hide in. Crowman would then be hit by multiple shurikens made out of the air around him, pinning Crowman to the wall for a second before The Ninja started to beat on Crowman and would go to stab Crowman with his actual shurikens. Crowman would block the shuriken with his beak, The Ninja would try again, however, this would only hit Crowman's mask, only slightly denting it.
He would hit The Ninja away before leaping into the air and diving into The Ninja with his beak, piercing through the chainmail and narrowly missing his heart. The Ninja would use the opportunity to punch Crowman's stomach. Crowman would remove his beak from The Ninja and slashes The Ninja's body with his wings.
Crowman would fly at the ring and would bite into it, pulling it up like the stone ground was made out of rubber and making a large spike and would grab The Ninja before impaling his back on the spike, then proceeding to stab The Ninja's chest with his beak.
The Ninja was ready to give up, however, after seeing his allies tell him not to give up, he would activate his Burning Inner Strength, growing in strength and would overpower Crowman who was confused how The Ninja grew in strength so fast. The Ninja would then grab the ropes of the ring, using them to tangle up Crowman. The ropes being made of vines were ready to be broken by Crowman, however, The Ninja would turn them into steel ropes that Crowman couldn't break out of and they would soon rip Crowman into pieces.
To escape from the steel ropes, Crowman would grow in size before moving at high speeds to swap places with The Ninja, leaving him tied in the ropes. Crowman began to praise The Ninja for catching him off guard and for the power that he pulled out of nowhere. The Ninja would then grab onto Crowman's face and get an imprint of his face on The Ninja's hand which he would use to transform his body into a copy of Crowman.
The Ninja would then grow in size to escape like Crowman did before grabbing onto Crowman, the two would rapidly swap places with each other over and over again, no one in the crowd watching being able to tell who was who. It would end with one of the Crowman's using the steel ropes to pull and rip the other Crowman into pieces. The surviving Crowman would call upon his pet ravens to eat the other's body, however, they flew away before the surviving Crowman revealed himself to be The Ninja.
Crowman, while torn to pieces, began to speak, praising The Ninja before telling him to take his dumbbell to Akuma Shogun. Crowman's last words being a request to ask The Ninja to tell Akuma Shogun to keep on going. Crowman would then die.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Perfect Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin blessed by The Man himself, Crowman has immense strength, speed and durability far above most other Chojin who already have the ability to perform superhuman feats. Additionally, due to being a Perfect Chojin, Crowman doesn't age at all, staying at his peak physical age after millions of years. Other abilities that Chojin have that Crowman likely has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
- Immense Superhuman Speed: Crowman is able to move at incredibly high speeds, so fast that he can't be seen by normal human eyes.
- Crow Feather Shield: Crowman is able to launch out the feathers on his body forward, using them to form a shield in front of his body to protect him.
- Crow Beak Scissors: Crowman is able to manipulate the earth around him by biting it with his beak, moulding the earth into whatever shape Crowman wants, most typically a spike to slam his opponent onto.
Trivia[]
- The names of Crowman's ravens, Never and More, are an obvious homage to the poem, The Raven which has a raven that says the word "Nevermore".
