Crowmon is the leader of a giant flock of crows and serves as the main antagonist of "Waste Management", the 87th episode of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!
He was voiced by Nobuo Tobita in Japanese and Ted Lewis in English.
Biography[]
Crowmon leads the crow flock in the forest until their home is torn down. Needing a new source of food, Crowmon makes a deal with King Dedede to feed on the latter's excess garbage. However, there isn't enough trash to feed the entire flock, and their leader declares that the king has betrayed them. The crows then raid Cappy Town for food, but are quickly driven out and eventually find themselves living on a prairie. the birds managed to confiscate a box of food from the townsfolk, in which is a liquid that Crowmon drinks, not knowing it's actually a monster-making serum. Crowmon mutates into a Demon Beast, becoming far more violent and brainwashing his flock into attacking the village in revenge.
Crowmon also kidnaps one of the Dyna Chicks and holds them hostage. When the chick's mother Dyna Blade interferes, the mutated bird holds the chick in a death grip, threatening to kill them if she attacks. Crowmon taunts Dyna Blade for her situation before blasting her away with his heat vision. However, a nearby Kirby sucks up a feather to gain the Wing ability, quickly disposing of the brainwashed crows before attacking Crowmon himself, freeing Dyna Chick in the process. While distracted by Wing Kirby, Crowmon is hit by Dyna Blade, sending him flying into a mountain. Unconscious, Crowmon reverts back to his normal self and lands in the forest below, while the rest of his flock break free from his mind control. After Tiff scolds him for his actions, Crowmon laments that the birds will have to look elsewhere for food. Tiff suggests that they rebuild the forest, as it wasn't their fault they needed food. Crowmon thanks them for their offer, and says his flock will be happy to return home.
Appearance[]
In his normal form, Crowmon is a standard black crow with a dark gray beak and legs. He has gray eyebags, a large scar over his left eye, and a large feather on top of his head that curls forward.
As a Demon Beast, Crowmon is much larger with dark purple feathers. His eyes are completely red, and his eyebags are now replaced by spikey purple markings. The feather on his head is replaced by a long, silver horn.
