Crown are a mysterious criminal organization that serve as the main antagonists of the 1996 tokusatsu series Shichisei Toshin Guyferd. They pose as an independent research foundation and provide funding to various science projects, with the aim of using those projects to create an army of supersoldiers to conquer the world.
History[]
Among the scientists Crown commissioned to work for them was Professor Shiroishi, who headed Crown's research into a mysterious alien energy called Fallah. Shiroishi was oblivious to Crown's true nature and experimented with Fallah in the hopes of using it for medicinal purposes. After an accident occurred in which one of his researchers was mutated into a monster by the Fallah however, Shiroishi attempted to destroy his research, but Crown had already made backups. Crown then had him imprisoned and replaced him as head of the Fallah division with Megumi Shion. Crown later abducted martial artists Gou Kazama and Taki, converting the former into a Guyborg and the latter into the Mutian Jarks using Fallah. Crown had hoped to see what would happen if Fallah was successfully infused into a cybernetic Guyborg, but during the experiment Jarks broke out, giving Gou an opportunity to escape. Much to Crown's surprise, Gou was able to perfectly balance the Fallah he had been dosed with into his body, resulting in him gaining the power to transform into the Seven Star Fighting God, Guyferd.
