Crush Crawfish (also known as Scissors Shrimper) is a minor antagonist from Mega Man X3. He is a Repliroid who is based on a shrimp/crayfish. Crush Crawfish wields the Spinning Blade (which Neon Tiger is weak to) as a weapon and is weak to the Triad Thunder.
Personality[]
Since his AI had a flaw that prevented him from distinguishing enemy, ally, or other, Crush Crawfish was a Maverick from the start. When Dr. Doppler started his revolt, Crawfish was stationed at the harbor area of Doppler Town, attacking anyone who approached his lair.
Appearance[]
Crush Crawfish resembles a humanoid shrimp/crayfish hybrid. He is mainly red in colour and has two claws that resemble scissor blades for hands. He wears blue and pink boots with red soles. His yellow moustache is based on the long antennae of an actual shrimp.
Biography[]
Crush Crawfish can be a very difficult boss without his weakness, the Triad Thunder. Most of his fighting patterns involve him trying to grab the player to crush him on his claws, which causes massive damage. If the player climbs the walls he will launch his claws and shoot wires to make the player fall to the floor.
Trivia[]
- Crush Crawfish could be weak to the Triad Thunder due to his basis being an aquatic animal (a shrimp) combined with the fact that water conducts electricity (the basis for the Triad Thunder).
- Mega Man X DiVE has a weapon called the Shrimper that resembles Crush Crawfish's arms.
- His stage theme is often believed to be a reference to Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
