The unnamed cult leader is a minor antagonist in the Lookism webcomic. He was a priest who was secretly was the leader of a brainwashed cult known as the Church of Eden. He is indirectly responsible for Johan Seong's descent into villainy due to manipulating his blind mother.
Biography[]
The Cult Leader appeared as man referred to as The Preacher at Johan's church and would listen to people's insecurities and promise them salvation for devoting their faith to him, while secretly recruiting people for his cult known as the Church of Eden, using drugs to influence them. One of his manipulated victims was Johan's blind mother. At some point, he had a reporter crucified.
When Johan came to him wanted to save his mother, the leader pretended not to know about the situation and acted as an ally helping Johan, Zach and Mira. They were split up, however by the cults acting leader. He was later revealed to be the true leader. Once this happened, he had taken the children captive and demanded to have them executed. Thanks to the help of Johan's mother, Zach and Johan managed to escape. They managed to come back later and noticed he was trying to presumably rape Mira. The leader sent some stray dogs to them, but Johan's mother realized they were following the scent of meat so she threw it at him, causing him to get attacked by the dogs, where he got severely injured and then arrested for his crimes, after this he caused Johan to develop permanent trauma from this experience.
In the present, he is now a homeless man who was seen by Daniel and some Hostel members when he was trying to fake a disability to earn food.
Personality[]
On the outside, the cult leader presents himself as a kind father-like figure to Johan and listens to other people's problems, acting as their savior.
In reality, he is a manipulative psychopath who has brainwashed and drugged multiple people, making them join his cult. He is not above scamming children and disabled people for his own gain, even enjoying these cruel acts. He feels no empathy for Johan, despite knowing his tragic reality, even smiling sadistically at manipulating his mother. He was also willing to cut off his hands and feet and locking him in his dog house. He is also very perverted, seeing as he stalked then later attempted to rape Mira, a middle schooler. When his rule is threatened, he reverts to a temper tantrum state, screaming that he is god. It is unknown if he genuinely believes he is god or is attempting to lie.
Furthermore, he is willing to fake a disability in order to get what he wants as shown when he becomes homeless and tries to get food.
He seemingly has an obsession with dogs, believing they are the key to godhood. He uses dogs to attack any unwanted intruders. He claims this is because they obey his every command when in actuality, he uses meat to control them.
