Cusack, also known as the Napping Reaper, is a major antagonist in the Seven Deadly Sins manga and anime. He is an elite member of the Demon Clan working directly under the Demon King and Zeldris's right-hand. Him and Chandler were once one as the Original Demon, but were split in two after rebelling against the Demon King,he is also arch-nemesis of Merlin.
He was voiced by Jouji Nakata (who also voiced Alucard and Hody Jones in Japanese and Armen Taylor (who also voiced Risotto Nero, Drakken Joe, and Dr. Mundo) in English.
Appearance[]
Cusack appears as a man with long strawberry-pink hair along with a long mustache. He posseses a demon mark on the left side of his head. In his true form, his hair and mustache become longer and turn white, the color of his eyes inverts, so the whites become black and the pupils become white, and two bat-like wings sprout on his back.
Personality[]
Cusack's main personality trait is his devotion and protectiveness toward Zeldris. He consistently refers to him as master and lord, despite being older and stronger than him. It is later revealed that these feeling were implanted into him by the Demon King, however Cusack sees past this. He shows extreme anger when he is unable to protect the prince.
Cusack shows confidence in his abilities, believing he can take on the Seven Deadly Sins. In battles, he tends to toy around with his opponents and even lets himself get hurt out of curiosity.
Cusack is shown to be proud of his mustache, claiming it as the number one mustache in the Demon Realm and was even shocked after realizing half of it was cut off in a fight with Arthur Pendragon, the only real damage he had done.
Powers and Abilities[]
Cusack is an immensely powerful demon, his power level measuring at 168,000 in his true form. His presence alone is capable of terrifying the souls within Excalibur. He is a highly skilled swordsman, being able to keep up with and outpace Ludociel, who's Grace essentially gives him super speed. Zeldris states that Cusack is more powerful than him. He is strong enough to break out of Merlin's ice magic, and remained unharmed after he was pierced by Meliodas' darkness, although he was immobilized. His magic power, "Resonant", allows him to take control of a person's body by making eye contact. In his true form, he is also capable of firing energy beams from his eyes.
