~ Cut Man to Dr. Wily in their final battle in Mega Man: Powered Up.
Cut Man is a supporting antagonist of the Mega Man franchise. He is one of the six (eight in Mega Man: Powered Up) Robot Masters from the original Mega Man that was originally created by Dr. Light to be a timber-felling robot. His body is designed with a lightweight body which makes him very agile and given a sharp scissor blade (usually worn on his head). He was later reprogrammed by Dr. Wily to help him conquer the world. Cut Man is a very cunning robot but also very stubborn, being usually in a bad mood.
However, in Mega Man: Powered Up, Cut Man's personality has gotten better. In the English dub of the same game, Cut Man is voiced by Elinor Holt, who also voiced Optic Sunflower.
Cut Man has a humanoid design. His head, extremities, and "pants" are orange. His ears are grey, although the Ruby-Spears cartoon gave him orange ones. His "skin" (or chassis) is white.
His eyes are often drawn as circles with pupils in the middle and given grey eyelids.
Biography[]
Cut Man fights by constantly jumping around and throwing his Rolling Cutter, which acts like a boomerang. He is weak to the Super Arm, but is also susceptible to the regular Mega Buster. Cut Man is the boss with the most appearances in the series, appearing in practically all spin-offs and even having a brief fight in Mega Man X8.
In Mega Man: Powered Up as of now, Cut Man is one of the many playable characters (along with Mega (the unarmored version of Mega Man), Mega Man, the other seven Robot Masters, Roll and Proto Man). Cut Man is now a kind-hearted, yet naïve, and smart child, seen showing reluctance to fight and instead trying to convince his brothers to come back with him through words. He is also quite gullible, being unable to see Mega Man? as a fake, who later admitted himself, saying "You're not the sharpest pair in the drawer, huh?". This can go the same in that, when brainwashed by Dr. Wily, Cut Man will call someone "a bad robot", but also adds that Roll is scary when she's angry and says he'll save her. However, when Cut Man is the protagonist, this doesn't happen. Cut Man is also somewhat formal, as he addresses other robots as "Mr." or "Ms.", as with "Ms. Roll" for Roll, with the sole exception of "Professor" to Dr. Light, as this reveals that his A.I. is still at a younger age. In addition, Cut Man is somewhat childish, as he is capable of understanding the Yellow Devil's "Bumo" language, and even learning it successfully, even though it did provoke the monster. Lastly, Cut Man gets really angry with Dr. Wily in their fight, saying that Wily can't be forgiven for what he has done to his brothers, and adds that it's payback time as he ends with he's gonna cut Dr. Wily down to size.

After his defeat, Cut Man was repaired and helped rebuild the damage caused by him and his brothers. Despite the government wishing for his disposal as a result of the incident, he remained loyal to humanity and Dr. Light.

Trivia[]
Many people criticized his appearance on Captain N along with other robots from the original Mega Man, mostly for his appearance and personality traits.
Optic Sunflower has a secret room that can be found by having Mega Man X: Command Mission save data in his stage. Upon entering this secret room, which is placed in the room right before him, players can find a Hologram of Cut Man. Upon destroying it, they can head to Optic Sunflower's room to complete his stage.
