Cycor

Cycor is the secondary antagonist of the 1999 film Yonggary.

Biography[]

After the humans were able to revert the Galaxions' control over Yonggary by destroying the diamond on his head, the aliens decide to send another monster down to Earth to continue Yonggary's attack on humanity. Cycor comes down to Earth in a pillar of light, knocking Yonggary off his feet. From the ground came Cycor to engage with Yonggary.

Cycor attacked Yonggary, knocking him to the ground. Captain Parker distracted Cycor, which gave Yonggary enough time to get back to his feet. Cycor attempted to impale Parker with his claw, but Yonggary saved Parker and blew Cycor’s claw off with a fireball. Tentacles grew from Cycor's wound and wrapped around Yonggary, then discharged an electrical surge, which made Yonggary fall down. Cycor shot a fireball at Yonggary, but the monster dodged it, firing back and blowing off Cycor's head. More tentacles grew from the wound and launched toward Yonggary, but Yonggary dodged the attack and bit them off. Yonggary then shot a fireball into the stump where Cycor's head once was, making him explode internally into pieces.

Much like Yonggary, Cycor was originally intended to be performed by a suit actor, only to be replaced with CGI at the last minute.
