Cydaea is a villain from the 2012 video game Diablo III. She was the lover of Azmodan as well as one the Lord of Sin's lieutenants. She gained the title of Maiden of Lust and had command over her own band of Succubi who she treated much like her own daughters.
She was voiced by Claudia Black, who also played Admiral Daro'Xen in Mass Effect 2, Ma-Sha in Rick and Morty, Sheryl Goodspeed and Shelly in Final Space and Klothow in Ahsoka.
Biography[]
Cydaea was obviously held in great regard by Azmodan as the Lord of Sin's lieutenant. When the heroes arrived to stop Azmodan's invasion of Bastion's Keep the Lord of Sin had Cydaea protect the Heart of Sin, the power-source of his army. Cydaea gathers up the spiderlings until she gets back down.
Unfortunately for Azmodan his consort failed in her task and was slain while trying to defend the artifact.

- The word "Cydaea" is the romanized form of "χυδαία"(pronouced "Khidea"), a greek adjective in its feminine form, meaning "obscene, profane, vulgar".
- Cydaea's design is based on Jorogumo, a monster from Japanese folklore.
- It's possible that Cydaea is bisexual, as her dialogues are the same, regardless of class' gender.
