Old Cyrus, always dropping in at a bad time.

~ Jason Todd taunting Dick Grayson after throwing Cyrus from a building.
Cyrus Beake is a minor villain in season 3 of DC's Titans. He was an employee of Arkham Asylum who became acquainted with the incarcerated Jonathan Crane. During Crane's time as a police consultant, Beake would routinely smuggle cannabis into his cell. The two were presumably close allies.
During his scheme to use Jason Todd as a proxy to gain control of Gotham, Crane had Cyrus infiltrate the Gotham morgue and remove Jason's body after he was killed by the Joker. Beake would take the corpse to Arkham and subsequently resurrect Jason through the power of a Lazarus Pit, which had been left in the basement of the asylum by Ra's al Ghul.
In a cruel twist of irony, Beake was later abducted by Jason when Barbara Gordon discovered footage of him removing Todd's body from the morgue. Knowing that Dick would arrive at Cyrus' address, Jason (as Red Hood) threw Beake from the building just as Dick arrived. His body landed on the windshield of Dick's car, killing him.

Trivia[]
It is unknown if killing Cyrus was a move orchestrated by Crane himself or done entirely of Jason's own accord. If the former were the case, it would clearly demonstrate that Crane wasn't above killing his own allies once they outlived their usefulness to him.
His last name may be a play on the word "beak", as in the bill of a bird.
Despite being a crucial tool in Jason Todd's resurrection, Cyrus has no speaking lines throughout the season.
Thomas Lorber, who portrayed Beake, was also a stunt double for various characters in the series.
