Cyrus Dorian is the main antagonist of the Supernatural episode "Route 666".

In life, he was an extremely racist and petty man who killed several black men and burned a church full of children out of spite. He returns as a vengeful ghost who wanted revenge on the people who killed him.

He was portrayed by Dee Jay Jackson.

Biography[]

Forty years prior to the episode, he was in a relationship with a woman named Audrey, who secretly cheated on him with a black man. When Cyrus discovered her relationship with the other man Martin Robinson, he started killing random black people. One day, he set fire to a small church where Audrey and Martin had planned to get married but they were not there. They had eloped, then one night, Cyrus came and took Martin and drove off with him in his truck. He started hitting Martin very badly but Martin got free. Afterwards, Martin kept hitting Cyrus until Cyrus died. He then called two friends (Clayton Solmes and Jimmy Anderson) and they helped him hide Cyrus’s body by pushing him and his truck into a lake. Despite his death, he did not move on to the afterlife and instead stayed on Earth as a ghost.

Three weeks prior to the episode, his ghost became active when his former house was destroyed by the town's mayor Harold Todd because he wanted to build a new home for him and his wife. He was a former police officer who had investigated Cyrus’s disappearance and kept it a secret when he found out Martin had killed him.

The day after, he killed Jimmy Anderson with his black truck by driving him off the road. It left a dent on the car but there were only arks from Jimmy’s car on the road. Then the black truck started following Martin Robinson and eventually also killed him by driving him off the road in a huge car chase. The same thing happened to Clayton Solmes but with Harold Todd, the black truck chased him when he was trying to outrun it. It drove him over and killed him. The following night, the black truck went to the house where Martin and Audrey’s daughter were and scared her.

When Sam and Dean Winchester tried to burn Cyrus’ corpse, the truck appeared again. Dean drove off in an attempt to get the truck away so Sam could burn the truck. Sam got the idea that Dean should drive to the place where the burnt down church was because it is still sacred ground. As the truck tried to hit Dean’s car, it vanished because he had parked right by the church. This made Cyrus move on to the afterlife, most likely Hell.

Personality[]

Cyrus Dorian was an extremely racist and hateful man. When he discovered that a woman he used to date could love a black man more than him, it drove him to extreme rage so much that he was willing to kill several innocent bystanders, even children, as he was willing to burn a church when a children's choir were and they all died. As a ghost he didn’t change much as he wanted revenge on the people that killed him and their family.
