~ D-I-S-C-O's first and only line. |
D-I-S-C-O is a minor antagonist in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run. One of Funny Valentine's minions, he was sent out to keep Gyro Zeppeli away from helping Johnny Joestar, Wekapipo, and Diego Brando. D-I-S-C-O wields the Stand known as Chocolate Disco.
Biography[]
As Funny Valentine collects the corpse's head in Philadelphia, he then plans to head after the left eye, the one part he is missing and the one held by Diego Brando. Launching a surprise attack that leaves Johnny severly injured and Diego's Scary Monsters activated, D-I-S-C-O is sent to kill Gyro to not have him help the others.
As both surround Gyro, Chocolate Disco is eventually activated once Gyro is not looking. Gyro at first tries to attack D-I-S-C-O with a Steel Ball, but this is warped back to Gyro, injuring him. Falling nails also wounds Gyro's leg. D-I-S-C-O eventually tries throwing bottles of acid, but both this and earlier attempts to rebound another Steel Ball and more nails. After getting behind him, Gyro then reveals his secret of making a high-pressurized area to refract light before D-I-S-C-O. was knocked by three Steel Balls after he refused to ask to Gyro about Funny Valentine's plan.
Personality[]
D-I-S-C-O is a mysterious figure, both speaking and emoting little throughout his fight with Gyro and prefers to never speak more than is necessary, speaking only to reveal his Stand's name. It is also unknown if D-I-S-C-O was truly loyal to Funny Valentine and his plans or simply be an unaware goon, but D-I-S-C-O shows to be pretty sadistic when it comes to attacking its victims.
Powers and Abilities[]
Chocolate Disco, D-I-S-C-O's Stand, manifests itself as a gauntlet that creates a large grid with each slot having both a letter and a number. Although it cannot attack itself, D-I-S-C-O can use the dial on his arm to teleport flying objects to a certain square.

- Aditionally, one of Araki's daughters is a Perfume fan.
- His name is written "Di-Su-Ko" (ディ・ス・コ) to mimic Perfume's singing of the word "disco" (ディスコ disuko) in the song.
