Dad is the deuteragonist of the stop-motion animated series Angry Kid. He is Angry Kid's and Lil' Sis's father, and Mum's ex-husband.
He is voiced by David Holt who Ironically voices Angry Kid’s teacher in the Show’s special, Who do you think you are?
Overview[]
Dad is a short-tempered and unseen man who is obsessed with country music which he usually listens to in the car alongside with his son who appearently doesnt like it, and would sometimes beg him to play his tape instead such as Captain Thunderpants. If the latter goes crazy about it misbehaving with it such as honking his horn loud much to the annoyance of Dad, he would immediently turn it off. If he gave him another chance, he would lose it if he did the same thing again and would angrily throw the tape on his son's head. In many episodes, his son is often seen annoying and torturing him causing Dad to scowl at him and go insane and would occasionally whack him with his newspaper as a punishment. He also may very well have been the reason for Stanners' behavior and his wife's leaving due to his alcohol addiction, abuse and neglect.
Appearence[]
While Dad's face is not seen on camara, as the picture on the right implies seen in the episode Sponsored Silence on the ketchup on the table, he looks just like his son having a squash-like shaped head, no visible eyebrows, and has a bizarre ginger hairstyle pointing at the sides. For attire, he wears a pair of glasses, a red, black, and gray-ish white plaid shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes.
Personality[]
Dad is a very short-tempered and abusive man, he loses it very easily when his son does something that annoys him. Despite this, its however implied that he actually cares about him on some level as he is occasionally shown to be supportive to him, and wanted to have a word to his son's school about a girl named Brenda bullying him, although lifting the foot from the acceleration; after his son claimed that he would be better off dead due to him seeing the world as cruel alongside it's people, dad said that he was "quite right" and that he and his son's sister could do with the spare room (he likely means his own son's room after his death) for whenever his friends came around, hinting he doesn't care about his suicidal thoughts that much.

- The country music he is always listening to in the car is called Heart of Steel by Stuart Gordon.
- Although he resembles his son on a picture, when he is seen on-screen (despite his face never been shown) he appears to be the complete opposite, especially for being bald.
