Daikoku & Ebisu are a pair of siblings dressed like two of the Seven Lucky Gods in Japanese folk religion who work as robbers for the Super Science Network and antagonists in episode 10 of Tokusou Robo Janperson.
They are portrayed by Kouichi Ohara and Taro Fujioka.
Biography[]
Daikoku committed a series of robberies using his mallet, which was really a device that produced ultra sonic waves that caused those who heard them to dream of their favorite thing, enabling Daikoku to steal their valuables while they were in a dream-like state.
After figuring out that Daikoku was using an ultra sonic device to affect people, the police pursued him seeking to obtain the mallet so they could figure out the wavelength it was projecting and revert it. Two investigators managed to corner Daikoku, but Daikoku held up his mallet to use on them. Janperson then appeared and swiped the mallet, only for Ebisu to retake it using his fishing pole, before using a koi bomb to distract them while he and his brother escaped.
The two brothers then presented the valuables they had stolen to Reiko Ayanokouji, who was pleased to receive them. After Reiko told the brothers that destroying Janperson would really make her happy, the two hatched a scheme to defeat the robot. They intentionally went after an armored vehicle carrying 1 billion yen, knowing it was a trap by the police, in order to lure out Janperson. The brothers then used a giant version of Daikoku's mallet to induce Janperson into dreaming, enabling them to use saws to tear him apart. However, Janperson was able to figure out that he was dreaming and force himself awake just in time. Janperson then destroyed the giant mallet before capturing Daikoku and Ebisu and handing them over to the police. Afterwards, Daikoku's mallet was used to reverse the ultra sonic waves and free everyone who had been made to fall asleep by it.
