| ~ Damon West. |
Damon West is a major antagonist in the 2006 video game Bully, serving as a minor antagonist in the first chapter, the secondary antagonist of the fourth chapter and a supporting antagonist in the fifth chapter.
He is a student at Bullworth Academy and the brutish second-in-command of the Jocks clique. Towering over most of his peers, Damon commands respect through sheer physical presence and unwavering loyalty to his team. While Ted Thompson may be the face of the Jocks, Damon is the muscle that enforces their dominance, acting as both enforcer and protector. He takes pride in his athletic prowess, often seen training at the gym or patrolling the football field, ready to step in if anyone dares challenge the clique. Though not known for academic excellence, Damon’s street-smart instincts and commanding presence make him a natural leader on and off the field. His no-nonsense attitude and willingness to throw down for his clique have earned him a fearsome reputation among students.
He was voiced by Ben Curtis.
Appearance[]
Damon possesses a commanding physical presence, standing tall with a robust build. His features include short, ebony hair and deep brown eyes. He typically sports a Letterman jacket, its sleeves casually rolled up, paired with dark brown trousers and navy blue footwear. Completing his attire, Damon adorns his wrists with white sweatbands. During colder seasons, he incorporates an Urban Wool Beanie into his ensemble, ensuring warmth as he zips up his Letterman Jacket.
Personality[]
Damon holds the role of second-in-command among the Jocks, taking charge in Ted's absence and echoing Ted's directives when he's present. Despite this, Damon harbors a belief that the Jocks would garner more respect if he were the leader, citing his physical strength as superior to Ted's. Rumors swirl about his clandestine pursuit of Mandy behind Ted's back, adding a layer of intrigue to his character. While the Jocks primarily clash with the Nerds, Damon harbors a personal vendetta against the Preppies.
An ardent sports enthusiast, Damon proudly identifies himself as an All-American athlete, prominently featuring as a linebacker for the Bullworth Bullhorns, where he dons the number 8 jersey. He further showcases his athletic prowess as a member of the Jocks' dodgeball team and as a state-ranked wrestler. Damon brazenly admits to exploiting other students to complete his academic tasks.
Notorious for his combative temperament, Damon's penchant for violence aligns well with his linebacker role. His fondness for physical confrontation extends beyond organized sports, manifesting in his proclivity for spontaneous fights. Damon exhibits territorial behavior, demonstrating aggression towards Nerds near the gym area and displaying a readiness to engage Jimmy in combat if his Jock respect dips below a certain threshold. Local gossip, including remarks from Dr. Bambillo, hints at Damon's perceived mental instability.
Damon's aggression extends beyond mere dominance, as he derives satisfaction from intimidating those he deems weaker. Intriguingly, he harbors a desire to confront a gorilla, indicative of his relentless pursuit of physical challenges. Renowned as the toughest among the Jocks, Damon ranks as the third most formidable student in the school's hierarchy, trailing behind Russell and Bif in terms of sheer strength and presence.
Biography[]
During Jimmy's initial visit to the cafeteria, he observes Damon and Juri engaged in an arm wrestling match. In "The Candidate," Damon, in collaboration with Juri, intimidates Earnest while he endeavors to put up a poster for the School Presidential elections. On Halloween, he masquerades as a Space Shuttle Astronaut. Additionally, he accompanies Ted and Mandy to witness Jimmy's confrontation with Russell in the Hole.
Damon and Ted initiate the events of Chapter 4 by knocking down Pete and asserting dominance over him. Despite not actively participating in the missions of Chapter 4, Damon remains in the background with Ted. However, when Jimmy eventually confronts Ted, Damon vigorously defends him. Serving as a focal point, he physically impedes Jimmy and forcefully propels him across the football field if Jimmy attempts to pursue Ted. Moreover, he withstands two explosions, unlike other players who endure only one.
In "Complete Mayhem," he is depicted vandalizing the library alongside Ted and Bo.
Due to Damon's combative demeanor, he assumes a more prominent role in free roam compared to most characters, as he typically instigates aggression against Jimmy upon sight throughout the majority of the game.
