Dan White is the main antagonist in the 2008 biographical political drama film Milk. Dan White was a supervisor to Harvey Milk until he killed him off alongside with George Moscone in betrayal. He is based off the real Dan White who ended up killing off Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone after battling depression.
He was portrayed by Josh Brolin, who also played Derek Bates in Into the Blue, Dr. William Block in Planet Terror, George W. Bush in W., Tom Chaney in the 2010 True Grit film, Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Cable in Deadpool 2.
Biography[]
Dan first appears on a TV news report about not being forced out of San Francisco by socialites and social deviants and tells him their of thousands of people to reveal their minds to reveal San Francisco in its glory. He meets Harvey and his colleagues he asks did he give a invite letter to his son's Christianity, he agrees over it, Later while appearing on a TV interview with Harvey Milk, talking about his support for Harvey Milk and the LGBTQ community and to take cure for his family, after the interview he gets married. They meet up at the church after the wedding talking about his suspension about him and the LGBTQ community being voted as his supervisor, he asks him how much did he had to study the rules at his time in Washington and Psychiatric center.
At the congress he and Harvey Milk have a dispute while in trial after the congress he asks him why he turning on him he gets angry over him and leaves in storm. After Harvey Milk wins the political deal over gay rights with the mayor, Harvey meet up with him over his work and knows he feels over life at the psychiatric center. He asks to introduce pay race over a new supervisor in a heated argument. After the party he gets drunk and then talks with Harvey is he alright and then got to get out there for business. Harvey tells Dan he had four relationships during his life and that three of them tried to committed suicide. He tells him is not about the jobs, it's about life he trying to work for. As they argue, Harvey's now deceased lover Jack comes over, stops the argument and take Harvey with him and shouts "DAN WHITE GOT A ISSUE!".
The next day after Harvey speech at the Parade, He and Harvey have a talk about supervisor pay rises and "I DON'T TRADE VOTES" what he doing is right or wrong, as they argue over LGBT rights and says to him he won't humiliate him while working. The next day after Harvey Milk wins the vote. He revealed his just resigned from the office and congratulated him over his new job, he gets called over to a office for a meeting, it is revealed through television he will be supervisor for the final time. That night, he gets a call from Barbara Turner from KCBS news she learned that he not getting his job. The next day he breaks and enters the office building where Harvey works, he tells a janitor he making a visit to the mayor and then visits his office via the mayor's female assistant, he tells him he wanted his job back, but they declined and says to take a time off, spend time with his family, and make no harm. He then visit the offices for a meeting with Harvey only to learn he got a gun and is planning on killing him and the mayor George Moscone which he succeeded. He then commits suicide to himself after killing the mayor George Moscone, just before police arrived.
