“ | It's been almost three hours since I beat up a nerd! I think I'm getting withdrawals. | „ |
~ Dan Wilson. |
Dan Wilson is a minor character in the 2006 video game Bully, serving as a minor antagonist in the fourth chapter. He is a student at Bullworth Academy and a recent member of the Jocks clique, as well as the older brother of the nerd student Thad Carlson.
He was voiced by Matt Sauerhoff.
Appearance[]
Dan is a diminutive jock characterized by vibrant red hair and light brown eyes. He sports the school's blue letterman sweater, complemented by tan slacks and dark blue and white shoes. During winter, his attire remains similar, albeit accessorized with black fingerless gloves and brown boots. His facial features possess a rugged quality, particularly noticeable when he's angered, causing his entire visage to contort. With a robust and fairly deep voice, Dan gives the impression of being one of the older students, despite his stature suggesting otherwise. In fact, he's even shorter than his younger brother Thad.
Personality[]
Dan, the elder sibling of the nerd Thad Carlson, has a backstory of once being a nerd himself and enduring significant bullying. He asserts that football defines his identity, yet occasional remarks hint at a nostalgia for his past "nerdy" interests. Despite this, his fervor for targeting the Nerds exceeds that of his fellow Jocks, particularly singling out Earnest as a favorite target. When hurling insults, "prick" is his preferred choice.
According to Cornelius, Dan has recently transitioned into the Jock clique. In terms of football, he appears to hold the positions of cornerback or safety, as indicated by his discussions about tackles and interceptions. On the team, he proudly dons the number 1.
Biography[]
Dan makes occasional appearances in cutscenes, although he is more prominently featured alongside the other Jocks in various missions throughout Chapter 4. In "The Candidate," upon completion of the mission, the camera pans across Dan, who appears disinterested and melancholic while observing the speech. In "Carnival Date with Kirby," he can be spotted alongside Kirby, sometimes wielding a baseball bat, as they stroll past Jimmy and Pinky. During "Defender of the Castle," both he and Kirby don their football gear, endeavoring to breach the barricade on the observatory track and infiltrate the Observatory. Later in "The Big Game" mission, Dan suffers a knockout blow from an explosive-rigged football thrown by Kirby.
