Dana Wheatley is a minor antagonist in the first season of Law & Order: Organized Crime. She is the daughter of Richard Wheatley and Angela Wheatley, who assists her father in many of his crimes, most notably the theft of several COVID-19 vaccines.
She was portrayed by Christina Marie Karis.
Biography[]
Introduction[]
Dana first meets Detective Elliot Stabler when he and his partner, Sergeant Ayanna Bell, approach her, her father and her father's bodyguards outside their office building. Stabler threatens Wheatley before Wheatley leaves with Dana and his right-hand man Izak Bekher in tow. After Wheatley's men steal several COVID-19 vaccines, Dana uses those vaccines to host a charity event run by the Wheatley family in which she and her father vaccinate people illegally in return for donations. After her younger brother, Richie, started dating Gina Cappeletti, an undercover detective assigned to infiltrate the Wheatley family, Dana starts verbally harassing her at Richie's birthday dinner before Richie told her to stop and they both left the table.
Discovering Gina's Identity[]
Dana catches Gina planting a device in Wheatley's wine cellar on the cameras. Dana shows the video to Wheatley, who tells her not to let anybody know. Dana and Wheatley approach Richie outside and Dana breaks the news to Richie about Gina's true identity. Wheatley then orders Richie to kill Gina. Richie doesn't want to do it, but Wheatley and Dana push him. Richie ultimately obeys his father's orders and kills Gina in an abandoned park with Bekher.
Arrest[]
Stabler and Bell arrest Wheatley and the rest of his family. When Richie is arrested, Bell and Stabler interrogate him about Gina's death, but Richie repeatedly asks for his father while Dana tries to keep him quiet. Dana tells Richie to wait for his lawyer and not to tell the police anything, but Richie denies knowing anything about Gina's death. Dana and the rest of her family are taken to court for their sentencing hearing, with Dana represented by Attorney Abeni Samuels. However, Dana and the rest of her family are remanded and sentenced to prison until the next trial.
Framing Eli for Murder[]
Dana is eventually released from prison and hides from the police at Angela's house. After Stabler's son Eli is framed for murder, another suspect tells the detectives that someone from Rikers paid him using cryptocurrency to murder a woman and frame Eli. Stabler pays Wheatley a visit in prison, but Wheatley tells him that he could not have committed the murder because Dana was in charge of the cryptocurrency business, not him. Bell and Stabler approach Angela at her home asking for Dana's whereabouts, but Angela pretends not to know anything about her whereabouts. After they leave, Angela drops the act and opens a bottle of wine for herself and Dana. Angela tells Dana to disappear for awhile, and that her father would organize something for her.
