They all bowed after I won. But they didn't bow deeply enough, not like they did with you. I needed to make them fear me. Now I finally think I know how.

~ Connor to Burnham
Danby Connor is an antagonist of the mirror universe in the Star Trek: Discovery episode "Despite Yourself".
Jus like his primary universe counterpart, he was portrayed by Sam Vartholomeos.
History[]
After the presumed death of mirror universe version of Michael Burnham, Connor was one of a number of officers who fought to succeed her as Captain of the ISS Shenzhou. Connor eventually won the conflict by eliminating his competitors and assumed command of the Shenzhou after being granted a commission by the Emperor.
After accidental spore jump into the mirror universe, Burnham and the USS Discovery crew learned about Connor's status in the mirror universe. The realization that Connor was still alive in the mirror universe unnerved Burnham, as she had watched his primary universe counterpart die several months earlier. Learning about the USS Defiant crossing over about 100 years earlier, they decided they had to infiltrate an Imperial vessel to obtain data on how the crossover occurred so they could get home.
When apparently hailed by the ISS Discovery, Connor responded to the hail and the demand that the Shenzhou rendezvous with the Discovery. Connor attempted to flirt with Sylvia Tilly, who was Captain of the Discovery in the mirror universe, not realizing the Tilly he was actually speaking to was from a different universe.
Posing as her counterpart, Burham demanded Connor comply with Tilly's request, and displayed the apparently detained Captain Gabriel Lorca to convince Connor to meet the Discovery.
Once Burnham, Tyler, and Lorca beamed on board the Shenzhou, Connor was in the transporter room to greet them. He eagerly offered to take Lorca to the brig. Concerned that Lorca would probably meet with an "accident" Burnham pointed her phaser at Connor and demanded to escort Lorca to the brig personally.
Upon arriving at the brig Connor was quite eager to open up one of the agony booths for Lorca and was about to push Lorca into the booth. Not wanting Lorca tortured Burnahm was about to refuse to allow Lorca to be put in the booth but a glance from Lorca told her to go ahead lest they blow their cover. Worried that an overzealous guard would use the booth to kill Lorca Burnham threatend to punish Connor and everyone else on the ship should that happen.
Burnham then ordered Connor to escort her to the ready room so she could obtain the data they needed. While in the turbolift, Connor attempted to assassinate Burnham so that he could continue as Captain of the Shenzhou. Burnham was forced to kill Connor, with him falling out of the turbolift on to the ship's bridge. As she took command of the Shenzhou, Burnham ordered her crew to dispose of Connor's corpse.
Having to kill Connor in self-defense, along with the pressure of appearing to be her counterpart greatly affected Burnham.
