Daniel Lennard is the main antagonist of the The Amazing World of Gumball episode "The Plan."
After Gumball, Darwin and Anais Watterson read a note mailed to their mother, Nicole Watterson, from a cosmetic brand called "Daniel Lennard", which praises her beauty and happiness as paramount, they begin to suspect that a real man by the same name is trying to steal her away from their family. As a result, they concoct a scenario and devise a plan to thwart him, imagining a fictional version of Daniel Lennard as their enemy.
In the English version, he has the voice of Mic Graves. In the Latin Spanish version, he has the voice of Miguel Ángel Ghigliazza.
Appearance[]
Daniel Lennard is a tall, humanoid, globular figure with a bulbous body, and everything about him (including his body and accessories) is composed of a green, glossy, thick, slime-like substance. He has the head of a bulldog, bushy eyebrows, a wide mouth, and a black mustache with a goatee. He wears a tall, cylindrical top hat on his head, a pendant with a dollar sign around his neck, and heeled dress shoes on his feet. He has thin, spindly limbs, with arms ending in small hands and long, thin legs. He also carries a long walking cane with a skull-shaped handle.
Biography[]
Gumball, Darwin, and Anais were searching through the trash for an action figure's weapons when they found several gifts and a letter for Nicole from someone named Daniel Lennard, which made the kids believe that Daniel Lennard was trying to steal their mother, so they devised a plan to scare him.
The plan was that Darwin would call Nicole pretending to be her boss and ask her to come to work. Gumball would use Nicole's computer to email Daniel Lennard to have a secret meeting in the park that night. The children would take Nicole's clothes, have lunch, sneak away from Richard and cross the town to the park. In the park, Darwin and Anais would pose as orphans and tell Daniel Lennard that he was in danger, they would make him believe that Nicole was a carnivorous monster and that they were the survivors of her previous family. Then Gumball would attack him disguised as Nicole and that way they would scare him forever.
The Watterson siblings carried out the plan in their imagination to make sure nothing went wrong and arrived at the park. Having reached that point in the plan, the children imagined what Daniel Lennard would look like and imagined him as a slimy bulldog with an evil appearance, goatee, top hat, bow tie, jewels and a cane.
Daniel Lennard waited for Nicole to arrive and Darwin and Anais approached him to speak. Mr. Lennard spoke to them in a high-pitched, squeaky voice, which the children knew didn't suit him and they changed it to a low, deep voice. The children told Mr. Lennard that they had to give him a warning, but then Mr. Lennard told them that they were who should be warned and revealed to them that he had come for them. Daniel Lennard chased Darwin and Anais through the park, and Darwin tried to hit him with a swing set, but the swing set went right through his body and hit Darwin in the face, making Daniel laugh sadistically. Darwin threw Anais to help her escape, but they ended up cornered against a brick wall. Mr. Lennard asked the children if they thought they could trick him and Darwin asked how he knew about their plan, to which Mr. Lennard said that the next time they planned to get rid of him, they shouldn't write "Fake Email to Daniel Lennard" in the subject line. Having discovered that mistake, Gumball corrected it and they imagined the encounter with Daniel again.
Darwin and Anais told Daniel Lennard that he was in danger, he asked how they knew his name and who they were, to which they said that they were all was left of Nicole's previous family. Daniel asked what happened to their father, to which the children said that their mother took all of their father's money and she ate him. Daniel got scared and the children told him that Nicole was coming for him. Then Gumball appeared from the bushes disguised as Nicole and threatened Daniel Lennard. Gumball managed to dodge several blows, but Daniel Lennard pulled out a taser and electrocuted him. Daniel Lennard fled scared while Darwin and Anais believed Gumball was dead, but then Gumball revealed that he used a pillow that blocked the electricity and declared that the plan was foolproof.
The trio celebrated that Gumball was alive and the plan was foolproof, so they carried it out in real life. But as they started their plan, the siblings saw a billboard that read "Daniel Lennard, Anti-Aging Products", which led them to discover that Daniel Lennard wasn't a man, but a cosmetics brand and they slapped themselves.
