He is not seen in Chicago Fire but is shortly seen in Chicago Med as a minor character, and then Chicago P.D. as the main villain.
He was portrayed by Fernando Del Cuadro.
Biography[]
History[]
Mendoza was one of two brothers and had a past of being in behavior programs and getting kicked out of college. He worked for a trucking company to traffic drugs, but he wanted a higher rank, so he decided to kill Edgar Torres, a cartel boss.
Chicago Fire[]
Mendoza murders, stabs, and slits the throat of two men, beats a woman who saw him, and lights a fire in River South Tower, a 25-floor high apartment. Several victims are found and saved, while a massive fire on floor 20 engulfs the floor and is practically impossible to get out of. Meanwhile, Pat Halstead, Jay Halstead’s father, is caught in the fire. 3 victims on floor 21 are saved, while Jay and Will demand the floors be checked again. Brian Zvonecek goes to one of the floors and finds a mother and her infant dead in an elevator. Thankfully, Pat is found in a room with his friend. Then, a mother and child are saved as well. Stella Kid runs out of oxygen in the fire, but he doesn't die and survives.
Chicago Med[]
Brian has a panic attack because he saw the dead mother and child, while another burn victim comes in. Six victims are killed in total, while over 40 are injured, 17 severely. Moments later, Pat Halstead starts flatlining, which almost leads to his death. The parents say they want their daughter to be unplugged, but not yet. It is eventually revealed to Will and Jay that Pat is brain-dead. To get into the hospital, Mendoza fakes a head injury. Throughout the episode, tension increases as Jay smacks Will, and Brian shows signs of PTSD. While Choi and several doctors help the woman, they find bruises on her body, which show she was brutally beaten. After a bag of flowers falls on the ground, he tries to target Jane Doe, but he is denied. After a long wait, Jay decides to pull the plug on Pat.
Chicago P.D.[]
After seeing Mendoza in the last episode, the girl cuts out her tracker and escapes. Mendoza eventually tracks her down and stabs her to death. One of the male victims, Edgar Torres, is a Sinaloa cartel member. Chicago P.D. Talks to Carlos after Halstead arrests him but refuses to help capture his son. Mendoza is seen on camera fleeing the scene and activates motion sensor cameras in his house when Chicago P.D. breaks in. Later, Carlos is forced to help take down his son when his well-respected son, Juan, is interrogated. Jay gives Hailey his keys, but with help, he finds Mendoza. He pulls to a corner and shoots Jay while he is himself shot, and Halstead is about to kill him, but relents and helps him. When the standoff is over, Mendoza dies from his wounds.
