Daniel "Danny" Wales is a supporting antagonist in the video game BioShock 2 and a minor character in the novel BioShock: Rapture.
Originally an Irish architect, Daniel and his brother Simon were commissioned by Andrew Ryan to design his underwater city Rapture. After the fall of the city, Daniel would become the head of the Pink Peral brothel while his brother Simon joined Sofia Lamb's Rapture Family.
He was voiced by Graham Rowat, who also voiced the Bacon Colonel and Guest President from The Last Guest and The Bacon Hair by ObliviousHD.

Background[]
Daniel Wales was born in Ireland to unnamed parents, and is the brother to Simon Wales. When they were adults, the brothers became architects and started their own firm, Wales & Wales Architects. Though he would design cathedrals for his country, Daniel was an atheist, which labeled him the "black sheep" in his town.
Rapture[]
At some point, Daniel and Simon encountered the industrialist Andrew Ryan, who commissioned them to help design his underwater city. Upon the city's completion, the Wales moved to Siren Alley, a mason quarter of the city where the brothers would show off their skills to citizens. However, the firm would suffer from hard times and couldn't get contracts when Rapture started to leak. Around this point, Daniel and Simon's relationship is soured when the latter joined Sofia Lamb in her philosophies, resulting in the two becoming estranged. Following the estrangement, Daniel developed a resentment towards Lamb, and refuse to join her Rapture Family as a result.
After the fall of Rapture, the firm went out of business, but the siblings remained in Siren Alley as Splicers started to take over the city's areas. Having lost everything, Daniel turned to drinking and running the Pink Peral, a hotel that he turned into a brothel for his prostitutes. He also turned to splicing, but forbade his prostitutes from doing so.
BioShock 2[]
By 1968, Daniel remains in Siren Alley at his brothel, splicing and drinking through his days. He would encounter Subject Delta, a prototype Alpha Series who needs the code to get through the pumping station. Believing that the prototype intends to kill him and that he is one of "Simon's boy", Wales runs away to set up traps in the brothel before attacking him alongside several splicers. He fails as Delta kills him, obtaining the code, but gains the anger of Simon, who attempts to kill him to avenge his brother.
