Commodore Daniels is a minor supporting character in the 2013 Star Trek video game. He is a Starfleet Commodore serving as commander of Starbase Frontier 17 during the 23rd century. He notably worked with scientists from New Vulcan to develop the Helios Machine, a device capable of harnessing energy from stars to create an unlimited source of power. While the Vulcans hoped to use the Helios Machine to terraform their new homeworld, Daniels recognized its potential as a superweapon.
