Dante Scott is one of two secondary antagonists (alongside Manny Rivera) of the Robin Hood arc in the third season of Law & Order: Organized Crime. He is a member of The Robin Hood criminal gang as well as the foster brother of Vaughn Davis, Manny Rivera and Detective Bobby Reyes.
He was portrayed by Pooch Hall.
Biography[]
He grew up in foster care, and was brought up by Leonard Baker, a frequent volunteer. While in Baker's care, Dante was a foster brother of Vaughn Davis, Manny Rivera, and Bobby Reyes all of whom he was close to growing up. Dante and his brothers were all sexually abused by Baker.
This abuse would psychologically damage Dante, to the point that he grew up to be a violent criminal and led to him being sent to prison.
In Law & Order: Organized Crime[]
Dante gets released from prison, where he gets welcomed back by Vaughn and Manny who were waiting for him and they all share a hug. Vaughn then shows Dante his new car, which surprises Dante before they all get in the car to go to Vaughn's mansion. When they arrive at the mansion, Vaughn then shows the amazed Dante around the mansion and shows him the fake police officers that he hired to be a part of his criminal gang called The Robin Hood.
Vaughn offers Dante a position in The Robin Hood but Dante shows signs of declining their plan. Vaughn then reminds Dante of how they survived abuse together in the foster home, which causes Dante to agree to become a member of The Robin Hood which excites Vaughn and Manny. Vaughn then starts training Dante on how to complete their missions by acting like police officers. When Dante passes the test, Vaughn recruits Dante and Manny to disguise as police officers to break into another home.
Dante and Vaughn then break into the home where they scare a girl and her brother. Vaughn then looks at the scared young girl and takes her into another room while Dante and the team search for money and drugs. He is excited by the loot, though shows a sign of morality when Vaughn attempts to rape the girl but ends up getting caught by Dante. Seeing this, Dante then ends up yelling Vaughn's name, which infuriates Vaughn because he gave the victim a way to identify him. Vaughn then shoots and kills the girl in front of Dante and blames her death on Dante.
Dante then confronts Vaughn about raping and murdering that girl which annoys Vaughn. Dante then claims that he doesn't want to get involved with Vaughn but Vaughn starts a fight with Dante and manages to convince him to continue being a member of the gang. At the club, Dante speaks with Manny about Vaughn raping girls and Manny tells Dante that it's not as bad as the things they experienced at the foster home.
After Detective Jet Slootmaekers manages to get Manny's phone number, Manny calls another guy to tell him they have one more mission to complete with Vaughn and Dante. Dante joins Vaughn and Manny at the location of the mission where they attempt to break into another home. However, the Organized Crime Control Bureau arrive at the location with backup. However, the backup officers mistook the OCCB for The Robin Hood and started shooting at them.
Before Dante and Manny could enter the house, Dante attempts to shoot the police but ends up getting shot by Detective Elliot Stabler while Manny gets arrested by Sergeant Ayanna Bell. While Dante is in the hospital, Reyes visits him and watches him lie unconscious in the bed. Reyes then confides in Bell that Dante, Vaughn and Manny were his foster brothers and that Vaughn is only committing these crimes because of what they experienced in the foster home.
Dante later regains consciousness and speaks with Reyes, surprised by his occupation. After catching up, Dante implicates Vaughn as the mastermind and Reyes would thank him, arresting Vaughn and later Baker for his crimes.
Much later, he develops a blood clot that leads to stroke. Despite the doctors' best attempts to save him, Dante ultimately dies and Reyes' wife tells him of his fate, to his great dismay.
