Dar is the secondary antagonist of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode "Padawan Lost". He was a Trandoshan hunter who killed for sport on the planet Wasskah. During the Clone Wars, his guild collected a Jedi Padawan named Ahsoka Tano who they tried to hunt and kill, but was unsuccessful and led to the deaths of many Trandoshans, including Dar himself.
He was voiced by Kevin Thoms.
Biography[]
Growing up on Wasskah, Dar, along with his father, Garnac, were apart of a Trandoshan hunting guild that hunted animals or people for sport. He watched as his father and the guild killed numerous living things, hoping he could be apart of the guild one day and make his mark.
In 20 BBY, a Trandoshan of the guild traveled to Felucia to somehow find and kidnap a Jedi Padawan named Ahsoka Tano, taking her on a ship with four other people. Dar, who was talking to Garnac on the ship about how eager he was for the game, watched as all five contestants were dropped onto Wasskah. Garnac then announced the games beginning while Lo-Taren gunned down two contestants.
The next day, Garnac then announced a new era of hunting to all the Trandoshans as they all cheered and walked out to kill some more people. After two other contestants were killed by two other Trandoshans, Dar then found Ahsoka, along with three other Jedi they captured prior to 20 BBY. As Dar chased the Jedi, two of them ran away as Ahsoka and another Jedi by the name of Kalifa ran from Dar.
When Dar was able to corner Kalifa, she used the force to hit Dar with a tree branch, knocking him out for a couple of seconds. When he got back up, he tried to shoot Kalifa, making it his first kill, but Ahsoka came swooping down from another tree branch and knocked out Dar's gun. As the two got in a fight, Dar was then beaten very quickly by the Jedi.
However, not giving up, Dar then lunged at the Jedi to claim his prize, but Ahsoka dodged the attack, leading Dar to tumble over into a gully and accidentally get impaled by a spike, killing the Trandoshan.
