Dario Brando is a minor antagonist in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run. He is the abusive parent of Diego Brando and his attempted murderer that caused the harsh life that Diego would experience as a young child and eventually cause his desire to win the Steel Ball Run by any means necessary.
Biography[]
Somewhere in an impoverished part of England in the year 1870, Dario and his girlfriend would have a baby. However, due to their impoverished condition, they would both come to an agreement to bury the baby alive so that he doesn't worsen their condition even more.
Shortly after, it would start to rain. which would cause the baby to be driven to the river where Dario and his girlfriend would be walking off, causing Dario's girlfriend to repent of the fact that she agreed for her baby to be killed off and her to start yelling the name that she already prepared for him.
Dario would then scold his girlfriend for becoming attached to the baby that they already agreed to be killed off and would try to convince her to cover up the murder by saying that it was the flood that killed their baby. But Dario's girlfriend would deny it, saying that maybe if he would drink less, they would afford enough to raise him.
Enraged, Dario would punch her girlfriend to the river, making it so that she would swim to rescue her baby while Dario would just watch joyed by the fact that he got rid of the two problems in his life.
Afterwards, Diegoand his mother would get picked up by a man on a farm, that would only cause more problems for his mother for trying to put up keeping care of his son and herself, eventually causing her death because of tetanus that were caused because of one time when she and her son were trying to get soup without cups, and that she would use her hands to hold it and give it to her son, causing severe burns on her hands.
It was because of all of these events that Diego would become bitter towards the farmers that took care of him and would swore revenge against his father that caused all of the horrors that happened in his life and his mother's.
It would be the last words of his mother that would inspire him to join the Steel ball Run, a horse race where the winner would win fifty million dollars, which would get him out of his impoverished condition and would spit on the name of his father.
