Darius Blank is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Alan Manikova) of the 2025 science fiction dark comedy film Mickey 17. He is a sadistic loan sharer who Mickey and Timo owe money to, and the main reason they sign up for the colony project and leave Earth.

Biography[]

Darius Blank is a wealthy loan shark who Timo and Mickey get a loan from in order to open a macron business, unfortunately the two’s business is in trouble and are nearing their payment. The two are kidnapped by Blank’s goons and brought to Darius, eating food. One of his goons admits that Darius is already very wealthy and doesn’t need his money back, but instead does it for something better, and brings out a tied up debtor. As one goon describes that Darius likes it when his debtors are behind, the debtor is tortured and mutilated to death right in front of Timo and Mickey as Darius records it, showing his enjoys the torture and sets an example for the two to pay what they owe as it is made clear Darius will do everything to track them down.

Mickey and Timo, needing to get as far away from Blank, join the space colony Kenneth Marshall is running, with Mickey joining the Expendable program. However, Darius really meant it when he said he’ll do anything to track them down, and has a letter sent to Timo all the way from Earth, explaining that he’ll forgive his debts to him if he sends him a video of him torturing somebody to death with specific details and instructions of how he likes it. Timo attempts to do this to Mickey 17, but is knocked out and rescued. After Kenneth Marshall’s death and the colony advancement, one of Blank’s goons come to kill Timo, but is promptly pushed into the trash incinerator, with Timo surviving.
