The Dark Alliance are the main antagonists of the Disney Mirrorverse franchise.

They are an evil faction of former Guardians with the goal of conquering the Mirrorverse and destroying the Guardians and anyone who stand in their way.

The Alliance was founded and led by Jafar, with members sharing his vision on using the Stellar Magic of the Mirror for their quest for power.

Biography

The Alliance was first propositioned by Jafar, as means of gaining influence in the Mirrorverse by reclaiming the Fractured Mirror. He sets out by slowly acquiring the more devious members of the Guardians, recognizing they shared his vision and appealing to their ambitions with his offer of power.

He first recruited Hades, who had recently lost the Mirror during his fight against the Guardians, and later Maleficent in Agrabah. Jafar than recruits the Evil Queen for her ability to command the Magic Mirror.

Gaston offered to join them, but Jafar refused because he viewed Gaston joining as a liability. However, after witnessing his amazing hunting skills, Jafar changed his mind and let him join the alliance, even apologizing to Gaston for rejecting him.

The group later convened at Maleficent's castle where Jafar formally introduced the villains to his growing alliance; using his acquisition of The Magic Mirror, Jafar had it summon Jack Sparrow and Sulley to the castle and trapped them to prevent them from interfering. Convinced with the Magic Mirror providing a new means of overturning the Guardians, the villains joined forces, and the Dark Alliance was established.

• The Dark Alliance share similar aspects to the Council of Disney Villains from the Kingdom Hearts series.
