The Dark Essence are the supporting antagonists of the Hello Neighbor franchise. They appeared in Hello Neighbor: Diaries, during its basement segments.

Appearance

The Dark Essence are shadowy versions of Mr. Peterson mimicking The Thing, their eyes glow a bright white and will relentlessly chase Nicky once spotted.

The Dark Essence can be encountered in the base segments of the game. The Player have to be very fast,stealthy and careful when around these things. In the end Nicky Roth aka The Player successfully escaped The Dark Essence.
