~ Dark Dizzy to Zero. |
Dark Dizzy, also known as Dark Necrobat in Japan and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2, is a minor antagonist in the video game Mega Man X5. He is a Maverick that was created by Sigma, but escaped and went into hiding. Dizzy uses the Dark Hold for his special weapon, which can stop time. Spiral Pegacion is weak to this weapon due to his reliance on speed, while the Flash Lasers are Dizzy's weakness and can shock him.
Biography
3 years prior to Mega Man X5, Sigma created Dark Necrobat to help him take over the world, but some time after, Dark Dizzy escaped and went into hiding. Sigma didn't think of him as a serious fighter, so he decided not to search for him, eventually forgetting about him.
The Maverick Hunters eventually encountered Dark Necrobat in a planetarium somewhere in northwest Sudan while they are looking for a fuel tank for the space shuttle. They confronted the powerful Maverick who they think was sent there to cause destruction. Dark Necrobat proved to be a powerful Maverick, but in the end, X and Zero managed to defeat the Dark Maverick.
Trivia
- Because of his bat design, Dark Necrobat slightly resembles Shade Man from RockMan 7. Dark's weapon is more akin to the Time Stopper.
- In the initial English localization of Mega Man X5, Dark Necrobat was named after the Guns N' Roses keyboardist, Dizzy Reed.
- Dark's weakness to light may be due to the fact that he uses darkness-based attacks and light can eat darkness.
