Appearance[]
Dark Opal is a tall man with pale blue skin featuring stress marks, long black hair and a black moustache and beard ensemble. He wears a dark blue and purple jump suit, featuring purple stripes criss-crossing at the bottom, a pale pink diamond on his chest and the same purple stripes on his arms, with dark blue pants. He's also wearing a magenta coloured cape, with a skull badge holding it on.
Personality[]
Dark Opal is very similar to Eclipso from start to finish: sadistic, cruel, dangerous, tyrannical, and more intelligent than his master, although he is sometimes shown to be quite a coward. After being banished from the Gemworld, he works with Eclipso to conquer the Earth with an iron fist, though this was what eventually led to their defeat thanks to the Super Hero Girls foiling their plans. Although Dark Opal is Eclipso's minion and sidekick, it's revealed that she valued only little about him at all due to the fact that she was planning to betray him, revealing that Dark Opal was being used as a tool by his master as Eclipso never cared about him, even though he is still loyal to her and follows orders from Eclipso.
