Darota is a minor antagonist in Mobile Suit Gundam. He is a Principality of Zeon officer serving as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in Garma Zabi's squadron.
He was voiced by Toshio Furukawa.
History[]
Lt. Darota was assigned to work under Garma Zabi. After Garma was killed in battle while trying to take White Base, his fiancee Icelina Eschonbach approached Darota and convinced him to launch another attack on White Base to avenge Garma.
Later on, Darota led Garma's forces in another attack on White Base, Icelina among them. Piloting an ACA-01 Gaw, Darota engages RX-78-2 Gundam, only to die in battle after being fatally wounded and leaving Icelina to take over commanding the attack.
Trivia[]
- Darota teaming up Icelina for an attack on White Base does not occur in the Mobile Suit Gundam compilation movies, leaving his fate in those films unknown.
- Darota also appears in the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga.
