Detective Darren Crowe is a supporting antagonist in the Rizzoli & Isles. Crowe is a highly disliked detective on the Boston PD Homicide Squad who presides with the leading cast over their worst murder cases.
Biography[]
The Surgeon[]
Crowe is introduced when Detectives Thomas Moore and Jane Rizzoli chase a fleeing suspect, only for Rizzoli to use excessive force and shoot him dead. Crowe, addressing Rizzoli as "girl cop", actually commends her for the shooting, to which she shouts at him to leave her alone and storms off.
The Apprentice[]
Detective Crowe partners with Detective Sleeper during the search for the killer at large.
The Sinner[]
Detective Crowe ends up calling an Indian woman who was shot and mutilated postmortem "Rat Lady", due to rats eating her remains where she was left in the projects. When it was determined her body parts were cut off and stolen, Crowe believed the offender was a "collector" killer.
Vanish[]
Detective Crowe is partnered with Detective Thomas Moore. It would later be revealed this would push Moore to retire.
The Mephisto Club[]
Detective Crowe hazed the latest addition to the Homicide Squad, Detective Eve Kassovitz, by leaving a wastebasket at he desk due to her vomiting at a particularly gruesome crime scene. He would come to regret his actions when Kassovitz herself was murdered and mutilated by the killer she was tracking independent of the team.
The Keepsake[]
Detective Crowe assisted in searching for evidence among artifacts, messing around with a few of them much to the shock of Dr. Simon Crispin, the museum's director.
Die Again[]
Detective Crowe would later be partnered with Detective Johnny Tam, who was a tenacious and steely enough cop that it didn't get to him so easily compared to Crowe's other colleagues.
I Know a Secret[]
Detective Crowe participated in the manhunt for Martin Stanek. When Earle Devine killed him, Crowe was pushed to shoot him in a suicide by cop.
