History[]
30 million years ago, Darrgon and his fellow Dark Giants Carmeara and Hudram and Trigger Dark attempted to get the eternity core. However, as a result of Trigger dark meeting his future incarnation Kongo Madaka, Trigger Dark redeemed himself and became Trigger before later petrifying the former three (including himself) using the power of the eternity core.
In the present, he was eventually freed by Carmeara. After this, he later went down to Earth to fight against Trigger after he defeated the monster Gymira. Darrgon later fought against Trigger again, this time at night, with the battle culminating in him driven off while underwater thanks to Trigger’s hyper key. Darrgon later met up with Carmeara to pick up Hudram. With the three reunited, they continued their goal of obtaining the eternity core.
As Deathdrago was rampaging, Darrgon took this time to go after Yuna Shizuma, in order to reawaken Yuzare’s spirit from inside her. After a long fight, Yuna eventually slapped him, leaving him puzzled and impressed. Having grown curious the nature of the human spirit, as well as having developed a crush on her, Darrgon one day went out on the surface to express his feelings for her, only for her to reject him and later be confronted by Kengo, resulting in him getting mad and accidentally awakening Zaragas. However, in a shocking turn of events, Darrgon helped Trigger near the end of the fight by catching it as it was falling down and throwing it to Trigger, allowing him to destroy it with his Deracium Light Stream.
Due to failing several times, Carmeara one day decided to attack Trigger directly by casting her curse of darkness spell on him, resulting in him getting sent in the past and Trigger (who had petrified himself in the past and reincarnated as Kengo, allowing him to fuse with his past incarnation’s body) becoming Trigger Dark. However, Trigger Dark ultimately became an empty rage filled husk who began attacking both them and Kengo who had managed to regain his form as Trigger, thus making Trigger and Trigger Dark two different entities. The three eventually were driven off.
After Hudram betrayed the Dark Giants and then Carmeara killed him, Darrgon was horrified and realized he was fighting for the wrong side all along. But before he could leave, Carmeara restrained and brainwashed him into her brutish mindless servant and sent him to destroy a city. Luckily, Yuna and Trigger snapped him out of his madness allowing him to try and join their cause to protect Earth. Despite his wish for redemption, Darrgon opted to ask for a last friendly sparring match between himself and Trigger to settle their rivalry for good, while asking his opponent to not hold back. Once the two had begun fighting at their full might, Carmeara took control of Darrgon again and drove him berserk, despite the others' desperate attempts to snap him back to normal, he could only briefly fight off the brainwashing to not harm Yuna and ultimately begged the heroes to destroy him before he was fully robbed of his free will and corrupted beyond saving. A remorseful Akito then used the Nurdessei's full power to ram into Darrgon, who left himself open to be destroyed and called the humans he'd come to help his friends as his last words. His spirit was then absorbed by Carmeara.
In the series finale, a mindless darkness clone of Darrgon was created by Carmeara as Megalothor to try and impede the progress of GUTS Select in stopping her, but was ultimately defeated by the GUTS agents.
