Darth Kruhl is a villain in the Star Wars Legends continuity, appearing as a Sith Lord and assassin in the Star Wars: Legacy comic series. He serves the One Sith Order under Darth Krayt during the Second Imperial Civil War.
Appearance[]
Darth Kruhl is a near-human with red skin, possibly due to full-body Sith tattoos or his natural complexion. He wears short-sleeved Sith robes and has a strip of hair down the middle of his head, with both sides shaved. His body is covered in Sith tattoos, reflecting his dedication to the One Sith doctrine.
Biography[]
Darth Kruhl was a fiercely loyal Sith Lord in Darth Krayt’s One Sith Order, serving under Darth Maladi in the Sith Intelligence and Assassination department during the Second Imperial Civil War. In 137 ABY, Kruhl was sent to Munto Codru to negotiate the planet’s submission to Krayt’s Sith Empire. He offered power and influence to the Codru-Ji clan leader Rikkar-Du in exchange for allowing an Imperial base. When Rikkar-Du plotted to unite the clans against the Empire, Kruhl returned, killed Rikkar-Du’s robotic security, his son Jassar, and Rikkar-Du himself, severing one of Rikkar-Du’s hands with his lightsaber. Kruhl then secured the cooperation of another clan leader, Kassek-Ka, by conspiring to eliminate Rikkar-Du’s wife.
Subsequently, Darth Maladi dispatched Kruhl, with assistance from former Munto Codru governor Vikar Dorn, to the planet Bastion to assassinate the deposed Emperor Roan Fel, leader of the Fel Insurrection. Kruhl infiltrated Fel’s stronghold in the Pellaeon Gardens and engaged Fel in a lightsaber duel. Despite using telekinesis to hurl debris and Force lightning, Kruhl was outmatched. Fel, an Imperial Knight, used cortosis gauntlets to disable Kruhl’s lightsaber and shot him in the stomach with a concealed blaster, killing him instantly. Fel sent Kruhl’s lightsaber back to Coruscant via Dorn to signal Darth Krayt’s failed assassination attempt. Unbeknownst to Kruhl, Maladi expected his mission to fail, as she planned to eliminate Fel through other means.
