Darth Scabrous is the main antagonist of the 2010 adult Star Wars Legends horror novel: Star Wars: Red Harvest. He is a sadistic and power hungry Sith Lord that seeks to recreate the deadly plague that Darth Drear had created, so that he could manipulate it to become immortal.
Biography[]
Darth Scabrous was a Sith Lord of the Old Republic Era. He was a Sith Lord who was the headmaster of the Sith Academy of Odacer-Faustin, a frozen world of ice and snow. Scabrous, like all other Sith, sought immortality. Scabrous, at some point, discovered Darth Drear's holocron, a holocron of a Sith Lord who lived centuries before. Scabrous learned of a plague that Drear had created back at his time, a virus that transforms a sentient being into a mindless, flesh eating undead zombie. Scabrous kept the holocron, eager to learn of and study the so called "Sickness" that Drear had created, so that he may recreate it and use it so that he could become immortal.
After studying for a while, Scabrous started kidnapping students from his academy, so that he may experiment on them with the Sickness. Scabrous made the students go through immense torture, killing and disposing students along the way. Scabrous eventually realized that he needed the Black Orchid, Force sensitive flower, to create the fluid that would recreate the Sickness. Scabrous eventually succeeded in getting the Sickness into fruition, and unleashed it on the Sith Academy but also ended up getting himself infected in the progress.
Eventually, Scabrous fell victim to the Sickness, and became a zombie but under the Sickness' influence, he became the leader of the undead and send them to attack the survivors as well as having the Netti, Dail'Liss to lure a Jedi to him right before infecting him with the Sickness, corrupting him to becoming insane to burn his library of scrolls and holocrons. Scabrous captures Hestizo Trace, a Jedi, whom he attempts to use as a sacrifice to become immortal, but she escapes. He then kills Rojo Trace, another Jedi, who sacrificed himself to save Jestozo whom death was avenged by Hestizo by telepathically allowing the orchid to explode his head and destroyed what was left of his body, killing him.
Appearance[]
Darth Scabrous is a Sith Lord in dark robes and a hood, and has grey eyes that occasionally turn yellow and grey hair. He is described as thin. after becoming a zombie, he has yellow eyes with decaying skin and flesh, with blood dripping from his mouth. Scabrous eventually decayed further to a zombie with half of his face rotted away
Personality[]
Darth Scabrous is a cruel, ruthless, and sadistic Sith Lord who would do anything to achieve immortality. He has no problem with experimenting on students, even if it means killing them, to recreate the Sickness. Scabrous also has no problem with cannibalism, as he attempted to eat the heart of Hestizo Trace in a ritual so that he could be affected by the Sickness yet still retain his sentience and powers, effectively becoming immortal. However, Scabrous's lust for power and recreating the Sickness lead to his downfall, as he fell victim to the disease and became a zombie.
