Darth Voren was at first a Jedi who served with Revan in the Mandalorian Wars. Having survived the destruction of Malachor V (the final battle of the war that destroyed all of the Mandalorians and their leader, Mandalore the Ultimate but also killing of thousands of Jedi and Republic forces, except for Meetra Surik, Revan, Malak, and Voren) Voren fell to the dark side just like as Revan and Malak did afterwards and served in Darth Revan's Sith Empire in the new war that the Sith waged against the Republic: the Jedi Civil War.
After two years of the war, with the Sith gaining the upper hand for most of it, the Jedi set a trap for the Dark Lord, Revan (who had taken his title of Darth Revan, with Darth Malak as his apprentice) Voren was on Revan's Sith warship when the Jedi strike team (led by Jedi Bastila Shan) boarded Revan's flagship. Voren and several Sith Mauraders defended the ship against the Jedi and Republic strike team, but Voren was killed during the lightsaber duel.
