Dave is a major antagonist of the Everything is Fine horror webcomic.
He is a citizen in Lakeview who sells meat and uses his food image to his sadistic serial killer self. He is one of the few people who enjoy the New Government as an excuse to kill.
Personality[]
Dave has a calm demeanor and generally puts on an affable façade but deep down he is a sadistic psychopath who love to mutilate and kill people for fun, including children. He takes pride in his actions and delusionally justifies that he is showing the truth of the world and believes the old world was fake. In his own words, he enjoys dismantling children in front of their screaming parents and believes he is their butcher.
Contrasting most people who are victims of their own environment trying to survive, Dave is one of the few people who enjoy the new world as it gives him an excuse to go on hunts and embrace his sadistic desires.
He shows himself to be rather cowardly in his final moments as he calls out that he's scared and begs for his mama.
Biography[]
Dave is implied to have been a serial killer and cannibal who murdered children in front of their parents for fun. Unlike most people, he would enjoy the rules of the new society as it gave him an excuse to go on hunts and murder for fun.
He would become a citizen at Lakeview who sells meat to others, putting on a nice façade while using the occasional hunts as a way to fulfill his sadistic desires. He would even help incriminate people to get them red-listed just so he could hunt them, taking sadism in destroying them mentally and physically.
At first, he is friendly towards Sam, who is his stall neighbor, when he asks for advice on gardening, then invites Sam to go on a hunt with him, though Sam is embarrassed he will hold him down. Dave then gives a vague answer to Sam's next question about how he runs his business.
Later, he is part of a sabotage as Sam and Maggie conspire with Gina and Chris to incriminate him by stealing his phone and alerting the police that he stole their medicine and is selling it for his own. He wants to know why Sam and Maggie betrayed him and says he still considers them friends to make it seem like they are still cool, then calmly walks away, though actually biding to get revenge on them.
Just to prove he is not to be messed with, he traps Glenn and Gladys in one of his barbed wire critter traps leaving them stuck, bleeding and paralyzed. When Glenn asks where his wife is because he it trapped, he mockingly says that he's right next to her. He threatens to do the same to Sam and Maggie again but ten times worse if they double cross him again. He leaves his way and says the couple can have fun and do whatever they want with Glenn and Gladys. They beg to be put out of their misery so Sam ends up killing them.
He participates in the hunt against Chris and chases him down with his harpoon. When he finds Maggie there first, he explains his sadistic lust and tries to kill them both. Before he can do anything, he is shot by Sam and calls out that he's scared for his mother as he dies.
