David Halberg is the protagonist of the indie horror game Broken Needle.
He is a mentally ill serial killer that has hallucinations about his dead daughter and believes that he can save her by giving her a new body.
Biography[]
The story begins with Detective Raymond Kessler interrogating David Halberg. The detective asks David to tell him what happened, and David reveals it very quickly, not thinking about the consequences.
During the explanation you see flashbacks where David hunts and kills people to take their body parts in order to give his daughter a new body, as she is just a head and spine.
While being interrogated, David explains that despite what he did, he feels no regret for what he assumed was saving his daughter. Detective Kessler demands to know where the daughter's body is, and David agrees to tell him after he is shown a photo of his daughter and her new body.
Trivia[]
It's unknown what killed David's daughter, but some flashbacks imply that David was to blame, as only he knows where her real body is buried.
