David Nababirdy is the main antagonist of The Casagrandes Season 3 episode "Flock This Way". He is a greedy smuggler who sells rare birds to the wealthy bird collector in order to become rich.
He was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who also voiced Bubble Bass in SpongeBob SquarePants series, Ra's al Ghul in Batman Arkhamverse series, Toiletnator in Codename: Kids Next Door, Admiral Trench in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Admiral Konstantine in Star Wars: Rebels, Crosshair in Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and Klaus Heissler in American Dad!.
Appearance[]
Nababirdy is an elderly man with gray hair on the sides of his head and a mustache similar to that of Hector. He has bushy eyebrows, a long nose, floppy cheekbones, a double chin, and ears with non-attached earlobes. He wears a white collared shirt with rolled-up sleeves, yellow shorts, brown hiking boots, and a monocle.
History[]
Nababirdy has overheard the Casagrandes while they were birdwatching. After introducing himself, he pretends to join Rosa and her family to search for birds, even if it means catching the rare ones. He accompanied them with every bird sighting that they witnessed (with Sergio in every bird disguise). As the Casagrandes head home, Nababirdy has heard the rare Vogelkop bird of paradise (actually Sergio) talking and traps Sergio in the cage, revealing his true nature.
At his apartment, Nababirdy plans to sell Sergio to the wealthy bird collector and becomes rich. As he left, Sergio quickly called the Casagrandes in a phone for help. When the Casagrande children have arrived, they attempted to inform him that he had grabbed the wrong bird, but he only felt like they were trying to maniuplate him into handing over Sergio just so they could sell him for themselves. He then wrapped Sergio's cage so it could be shipped off. Just as he was about to put a stamp on the package, CJ distracted him by making the call of a white-winged crossbill. However, he soon returned after finding out that it was only a false alarm. Upon returning, he discovered that Sergio has escaped his cage and went around his apartment hunting down the "bird of paradise".
However, he soon fell victim to a trap set by the Casagrandes, which resulted in him being trapped inside a large cage before being boxed up and mailed to the bird collector. It's unknown what happened to Nababirdy afterwards, but it seems likely that he was arrested for his actions after the bird collector discovered him in a cage (obviously called by the Casagrandes).

- His name is a pun on the phrase "Nab a birdy", which would explain his hobby of smuggling rare animals (particularly birds).
