David Seldon is the main antagonist of the One Chicago crossover event episode "Infection". He is a mentally unstable scientist who attempted to release a deadly virus (of his own creation) on the city.
He was portrayed by Aaron Serotsky.
Biography[]
Past[]
In the past, he was married and was skilled in the medical field. Eventually, he theorized he could create a virus and could cure it. When he presented his theory to the board, though he was promptly debunked and dismissed. Enraged by this rejection, he decided to devote himself to proving his idea and over the years grew up obsessed with the idea, leading to the dissolution of his marriage after his wife started to worry over his mentality.

Seldon used his position to have access to the antidote at the Med to the virus. He destroyed several trays of the antidote, before he was caught in the act by Dr. Will Halstead who questioned his actions, as Seldon realized he was exposed. Thinking quickly, Seldon struck Will with a nearby oxygen tank and fled the scene.
"Infection III"[]
After Will was found, he promptly reported Seldon and a manhunt was launched. His past was investigated, and it became apparent that he was looking for a big event to spread the virus across the city. As a result, the city was locked down for its own safety.
Seldon was promptly shot and killed by Sgt. Hank Voight while Jay was given the antidote.
