Personality[]
David is very childlike and immature man but still a reasonably friendly one with a moral conscious in spite of his murderous nature. He is shown to be mentally handicapped in some ways and shows signs throughout the series of emotional damage perhaps due to his father's death. He was incredibly close to his mother when she was alive as well and was devastated when she died as the two were essentially best friends as well as mother and son. He later matured somewhat after Maureen's death however and became a more relaxed and well rounded man, even falling in love and starting a relationship with Emily and having a son and steady job until his mother's ghost returned and started trying to corrupt him forcing him to lose everything and become a much more melancholic and weary man who would warn others moving into his old flat about his mother. He appears to have reversed somewhere between all of this after dying himself and becoming a ghost.
Appearance[]
In Psychoville David is 38 years old and appears as a fair skinned, slack jawed, pot-bellied man with ginger hair styled in an unflattering bowl cut, thick glasses and blue eyes. He is usually seen wearing a black quilted leather jacket over the top of everyday casual wear alongside a pair of old stained trainers.
By the time of "Death Be Not Proud" he looks mostly the same however has visibly aged due to the ten year time gap.
Trivia[]
- David's obsession with serial killers is actually a reference to Reece Shearsmith's fascination with true crime (Which is ironic considering he played a real life serial killer a few years after Psychoville concluded).
- David has two YouTube channels both of which tie into Psychoville.
