Biography[]
Rig and Charlie, whose real names are Davis "Rig" Lanlow and Charles "Charlie" Dunt, are a pair of criminals operating in the Los Angeles area. Their introduction to the story occurs when they are framed for a gas station robbery in Arizona, which was actually carried out by Terrence Paul "T-Paul" Davidson, Nick Beam's temporary accomplice.
When Rig and Charlie discover that they have been wrongly accused, they set out to track down Nick and T-Paul to get revenge and recover the money. They track them down and attack them, ramming Nick's truck off the road and holding him and T-Paul at gunpoint. During this confrontation, T-Paul manages to disarm them, but accidentally shoots Nick, wounding him in the arm. Despite the brief confrontation, Rig and Charlie do not give up and continue to chase the two all the way to Los Angeles.
Rig and Charlie, after stealing Nick's business card and following him and T-Paul to their hotel, show up in the room and take T-Paul hostage, stealing the money the two had just stolen from the office of Philip, Nick's boss. Their goal is to take what they believe is rightfully theirs, but their plan doesn't exactly go as planned.
After Nick manages to free T-Paul from Rig and Charlie's trap, the two chase them and confront them in an alley. There, Nick shoots Rig's gun, disarming him. Rig and Charlie are eventually overpowered and tied up, left to be arrested by the police. This is the conclusion of their role in the story: they are criminals who try to assert themselves multiple times, but end up being defeated and arrested, losing the loot and their freedom.
