Dawn Lin

Dawn Lin is the main villainess from "The Walking Dead," episode 1.13 of NCIS: New Orleans.

She was portrayed by Anne Dudek, who also portrayed Emma Kerrigan in Criminal Minds, Danielle McCaskin in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Dr. Amber Volakis in House MD.

Biography

Dawn Lin is the wife of Cam Lin, who worked at an oil refinery. Her husband had been feuding with his brother, Gabriel (a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy), over their deceased father's land in Taiwan. OMNICORE Development wanted that land for their development, and they visited Dawn and offered her a big payday for the land, which she took.

In order to avoid sharing her pay, Dawn poisoned Gabriel with polonium, having acquired the poison from her father's company, DeGeorge Plastics--who got the polonium from the South River Nuclear Station. The villainess placed the polonium in Gabriel's toothpaste, and he began feeling the effects, which left him with two weeks to live. To keep Cam from calling OMNICORE and finding out the truth about her role, the evil Dawn attempted to kill him as well, doing so by lacing Cam's water bottle with polonium. Fortunately, Brody discovered that the bottle tested positive for the substance, and prevented Cam from drinking out of it, saving him in the process.

Dawn was caught and revealed when they learned about her true connection to the polonium, and she was taken into custody after her car tested positive for the substance. During her interrogation with Brody and LaSalle, Dawn stated that she wanted to get away from her father's proverbial thumb, believing that her marriage to Cam would prevent that. She blamed Cam's bad investments for her evil actions, and after the interrogation, Dawn was officially arrested.
