Dean is a minor antagonist in the British soap opera Emmerdale. He was a drug dealer and the former boyfriend of Holly Barton.

He was portrayed by Craig Vye.

Biography[]

After he and Holly split up, Dean demanded £2,000 from her for the drugs he supplied her with when they were together. Dean later showed up at the house of Cain and Moira Dingle's house and put pressure on Holly to pay. She then tried to pay the debt with sex, but Dean said that sex wouldn't cover £2,000. After Moira found out that Holly was no longer clean, she payed Dean the money, but he then demanded a £2,000 more from her. This made Cain call in a favor from Charity Dingle and Ross Barton to help him set Dean up with a lorry filled with stolen goods. Dean was then tasered and arrested.

Dean eventually got out of prison and when he learned about Charity's involvement in his arrest, he took a baseball bat and intended to beat her up with it. With no other option, Charity offered herself to Dean, saying she used to be a prostitue once, and Cain walked in as Charity had Dean pinned to the floor. He then warned Dean off, and he left and hasn't been seen since.
