Deathbar is a Future Terror Beast used by the Future Space Pirate Fleet Neo Descal and an antagonist in episodes 14 and 16 of Chousei Kantai Sazer-X. It was later revived as Neo Deathbar in episode 18.
History[]
After Grouza sent a message to Garade asking him to assist her in ensuring Descal's past conquest of Earth was successful, Garade traveled through the wormhole to 2005 and sent Deathbar to rampage through the city. After Deathbar used its acid spray to disintegrate several cars and buildings, Sazer-X arrived in their Ryuuseishin to do battle against it. However, they were unable to do anything against Deathbar's regenerative powers. After Deathbar decimated Sazer-X's mecha and Grouza stole all the Cosmo Capsules in Sazer-X's possession save for the Shark-4 capsule, Deathbar was recalled by Neo-Descal now that their mission was completed.
Later, when Blaird escaped from Neo-Descal with the Cosmo Capsules, hoping to use them to lure Takuto into a fight, Deathbar was sent out again to distract Sazer-X while Aqual and Cyclead went to retrieve their former comrade. While Ad and Kane went to capture Blaird, Takuto formed Great-Lio to do battle against Deathbar. Takuto attempted to attack Deathbar's eyes, thinking they were its weak spot, but Deathbar regenerated the wounds. Takuto then had G2 scan Deathbar and, after G2 detected something inside of it, Takuto attacked it hoping it was its weak spot. Deathbar briefly dissolved, but soon reformed and continued fighting. However, Commander Shark then entered the battle in Shark-Leaguer to fight Deathbar himself. Commander Shark used a Hydro Shoot to freeze Deathbar before slashing and destroying the Future Terror Beast.
Deathbar was later recreated as Neo Deathbar by the Neo Descal using the Cosmo Capsule Amplifier that Cyclead had constructed. It again overpowered Sazer-X before being destroyed by Commander Shark in his Shark-Leaguer mecha.
Trivia[]
- Deathbar was originally named "Headler" as a reference to Hedorah, a monster from Toho's Godzilla film series.
