Biography[]
After Ronnie Raymond sacrificed himself to close the Singularity, all the energies from his body and the Singularity merged to create a cold fusion entity which became Deathstorm. Because Ronnie Raymond died with grief on his mind, the entity developed a primal urge for grief and fed off it from many victims to survive. Deathstorm was then trapped in between dimensions after the Singularity closed up. Desiring to feed off grief and to be with Caitlin Snow, Deathstorm traveled for years in between dimensions until it found Earth-Prime.
Seven years later, Deathstorm arrived in Central City to feed off more grief, but this time it also desired a physical form. To gain a physical form, Deathstorm began feeding off of the grief of people close to Caitlin Snow: like Colin Smith, Megan Landa, and Veronica Binning.
Six months later, Deathstorm went after O'Shaughnessy's employees Stan Mullen and Donna Winters and killed them both because Caitlin knew them from her and Frost's double date, while it also unintentionally framed Jaco Birch for its crimes.
Deathstorm later killed Caitlin's yoga instructor, Parker DeStefano but not before the Flash got a small piece of it to study. Seeing that Chester P. Runk hasn't gotten over his grief, it uses the small piece to infiltrate STAR Labs and then disguises itself as Chester's late father, Quincy P. Runk, to manipulate him into being killed but failed when Chester finally confronted and accepted his father's death, causing Deathstorm to disappear.
Seeing Frost's power as useful sustenance, Deathstorm began to target her and eventually attacked her in her apartment, injuring her. Using herself as bait, Deathstorm tried to consume her power again but hesitated, sensing it may be a trap. Frost attacked it, but it fled. Using herself and Carla Tannhauser as bait, Deathstorm tried to consume them both but was caught in a trap, luckily, Deathstorm broke free and escaped again.
Eventually, it appeared to Caitlin, pretending to be Ronnie Raymond to deceive her into using the Quantum splicer to give him Ronnie's body. After gaining control over Ronnie's body, it revealed itself to Caitlin, claiming that Ronnie Raymond is dead and that it was named Deathstorm. It then attacked Caitlin Snow and tried to burn her but was interrupted by the Flash. After pushing back against the Flash, Deathstorm realized it didn't have enough power, so he left Caitlin in a catatonic state and left S.T.A.R. Labs to go feed again.
Deathstorm started by attacking a crying man on a bus bench before moving on to numerous unnamed grieving citizens, burning their bodies, feeding off their grief, and disappearing without a trace.
In an attempt to track Deathstorm, Team Flash used Cecile Horton track it, but instead, Deathstorm possessed Cecile and taunted Team Flash, saying it will feed off their grief and will have Caitlin Snow before it left. Deathstorm then infiltrated S.T.A.R. Labs again and appeared to Allegra Garcia as her cousin Esperanza Garcia in an attempt to feed off her grief, but failed.
It then attacked Frost and kidnapped Caitlin Snow and took her to an amusement park, where Deathstorm kills four people and feeds off their grief. Confronting Caitlin, she thinks it wants to kill her, but Deathstorm explains that it wants to transform her into an energy being, so she will be its bride, and then burns her again. Unfortunately, the grief still wasn't enough and Deathstorm left before the Flash arrived.
Deathstorm then went after Team Flash again, sending phantoms that look like Eddie Thawne, Quincy P. Runk, Esperanza Garcia, Nora Allen, Nana Dearbon, and Fred Chyre to torture them in giving up their grief just so Deathstorm could transfer it all into Caitlin, so she could become Deathstorm's bride. However, it didn't go after Frost because as Deathstorm pointed out to her, Frost is only a carbon copy of Caitlin Snow as she only feels what Caitlin feels and therefore, couldn't feel any real emotion which was upsetting to Frost. However, Frost started to experience real emotion after thinking she was going to lose Caitlin to Deathstorm, which caused her to transform into Hellfrost after being exposed to the M.A.C. chamber in an experiment to become an Anti-Deathstorm weapon. Hellfrost then used her new powers to burn away Deathstorm's phantoms, before going up against it herself.
Hellfrost tricked Deathstorm into thinking she was Caitlin just so it would come after her, which worked and Deathstorm and Hellfrost had a vigorous battle all around Central City. Deathstorm then got the upper hand over Hellfrost and threw her to the ground. Deathstorm then walked up to her and told her that she can't keep Caitlin from it and then asked who she thinks she is, before she tears off the quantum slicer from Deathstorm's chest, which caused it to panic and become weak. Hellfrost then used her power to absorb Deathstorm into her, causing it to scream, disintegrate, and leave nothing behind.
Even though Deathstorm was gone, it still got the last laugh as Deathstorm's fire powers were too much from for Hellfrost to handle and she suffered a cardiac arrest. Even though Caitlin Snow and the Flash did everything they could to save her, she still died, leaving Team Flash in more grief than ever, making Frost Deathstorm's last victim.
