The Decay of the Angel are the main antagonists of the Decay of the Angel Saga in the Bungo Stray Dogs franchise.
The Decay of the Angel is a terrorist organization that's been hiding in Japan claiming themselves to be a murder association. They possess a page they've stolen from the reality altering book and they use it to enact their plans. Their true end goal is to create a world where all the nations are unified and amend reality on the page by writing "None will question the need to unify humanity.", and according to Mushitaro Oguri, they have a four-step plan of making it all happen. Although few in number, including Ōchi Fukuchi (also known as Kamui), Bram Stoker, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Nikolai Gogol, and Sigma, its members all have powerful, threatening abilities and so far, the most difficult threat the Armed Detective Agency has faced.
Plot[]
Cannibalism[]
The first phase of the Decay's plan begins with Fyodor and his Rats infecting the leaders of the Port Mafia and the Armed Detective Agency with a virus. It ended with Fyodor's arrest and the Detective Agency winning an award. However, it was all part of Fyodor's plan for the rest of his comrades in the Decay of Angels to get closer.
Armed Detective Agency Frame-up[]
A month after the Cannibalism incident, Nikolai Gogol makes the Decay of Angels known as the Armed Detective Agency through murders of four government officials as a symbol of four of the five death omens of an angel. The Agency deduce that a fifth murder will happen. This sets up the Decay's second stage in their plan of framing the ADA as terrorists.
Gogol holds government officials hostage luring in the Detective Agency into a trap. Thanks to the reality-altering page from The Book, the Agency is identified as the ones who kidnapped and murdered the hostages. thus, being set up as terrorists.
As a result, military forces and their most powerful squad the Hunting Dogs have went on a hunt for the Agency.
Global Terrorism[]
The third phase of Decay of Angels' plan is global terrorism, it starts by placing coin bombs from the Sky casino in other countries. Various explosions throughout the world are soon reported to be caused by coins from the flying casino.
As the world is thrown in chaos and panic from the coin bombing, Ochi Fukuchi gathers VIPs at Standard Island to forge an international corps to combat global terrorism. However, Ranpo Edogawa reveals that Fukuchi is Kamui, the true leader of the Decay of the Angel. Kamui tells Atsushi that his goal is to bring down all nations to end all wars.
The next step in the global terrorism phase is to turn everyone into vampires with Bram Stoker's vampire ability. The infection spreads from the Mafia all throughout foreign nations, causing 16 armies being ordered due to the vampire ability to disarm themselves.
Word reaches out to the United Nations about the chaos. United Nations secretary-general decides to contact the Order of the Clock Tower to sending in the ability weapon called One Order to end the vampire outbreak.
