Degram is a minor antagonist and one of the eighth bosses (alongside the other Degglams) of Star Fox: Assault.

It is a large Aparoid that was modified into becoming a giant missile to be in service to the Aparoid Queen. During the Aparoid Invasion, Degram is present during the battle of the Orbital Gate to attempt to destroy it when the other Degglams have failed to do so.

Appearance[]

It is a colossal missile-shaped Aparoid with differences in comparison to the other Degglams. It possesses black armor with spikes and red veins and purple lights with the purple core as its weak point. Each time it gets hit in the weak point, it will accelerate to detach its back to be smaller but faster. From its abilities to detach its mass, Degram's form takes a similarity to that of a rocket despite being a missile itself.

Biography[]

Degram was one of the Aparoids that was given birth by the Aparoid Queen and modified into becoming a large Degglam to be in service to the Aparoid hive to target and destroy any Corneria base that poses a threat to destroy their race. With Pigma's core memory captured this learning about their location and learning their weakness to be apoptosis, the Aparoid Queen summons an Aparoid fleet to destroy the Orbital Gate now that it became the current base of the Cornerian Army following Corneria City's destruction and liberation. With the Aparoid fleet unable to destroy the station, the Queen summons many Degglams including Degram to be on their way to destroy it for them.

With help from Star Fox and Star Wolf, many Degglams were target and destroyed, leaving only one left being Degram, slowly cruising to the station. During the fight, Degram's armor proved to be invulnerable to the attacks and would have to be shot at its weak point from its back. In doing so, Degram loses the third part of its back but accelerates to speed up its way, having Fox shoot at the weak point through the protective ribs. Degram detaches again to its final form and accelerates but this time with the weakness being the tip of its nose. As it was nearing closes to its target, Degram was substantially shot down by Fox, destroying it.

In the result of its failure, the Orbital Gate opens a gateway to the Aparoid Homeworld where the Star Fox team battled against the Aparoids and defeated the Aparoid Queen.

Trivia[]

  • If Fox doesn't destroy Degram in time, it will reach and destroy the Orbital Gate, resulting in a game over.
  • Though referred as an Aparoid Missile, its name was revealed in the perfect guide to be Degram.
